Ilona Teleki is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), where she provides oversight of the Center’s financial operations and regulatory compliance, as well as leadership in development, community outreach and programming. Previously, she served as Deputy Director and Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) where she worked for more than 13 years on Central and East European (CEE) affairs. She has authored numerous publications on the CEE region, and is the co-author (with Janusz Bugajski) of the book Atlantic Bridges: America’s New European Allies (Rowman & Littlefield, 2007), a seminal study on the need to strengthen U.S. relations with CEE states as the focus of transatlantic links. She holds a Master's degree from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), University College London and a second Master's degree in communication and conflict resolution from George Mason University (GMU). She completed her undergraduate degree at both GMU and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary. Her main interest areas include the politics of national identity in the CEE region, as well as CEE relations with the European Union and the United States.
