Benjamin Wittes is a senior fellow in Governance Studies at The Brookings Institution. He co-founded and is the editor-in-chief of Lawfare, which is devoted to sober and serious discussion of "Hard National Security Choices," and is co-chair of the Hoover Institution's Working Group on National Security, Technology, and Law. He is the author of several books and focuses on legal issues surrounding the war on terrorism and national security, judicial nominations and confirmations, and the federal courts.
