Daniel Ioniţă is a career diplomat and since January 2015 he is acting as State Secretary for Strategic Affairs within the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He joined the Romanian foreign service in 1996 and his diplomatic posts includes: Ambassador of Romania to the Kingdom of Norway (2011-2015), Deputy of the Romanian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden (2002-2006), Director General for Strategic Affairs, and Director for Security Policy Department within Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
