Wojciech Zajączkowski
Wojciech Zajączkowski is the Director of the Department of Foreign Policy Strategy at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2008 to 2010, he was Poland’s ambassador to Bucharest, and from 2010 to 2014 he served as his country’s ambassador to Moscow. During his earlier diplomatic career he was posted to Russia, Ukraine and Turkmenistan. From 2004 – 2007 Ambassador Zajączkowski headed the Department for Eastern Policy, and in 2008  he became the Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister of Poland and Head of the Working Group on Energy Security. Mr. Zajączkowski’s professional experience also includes journalism, analytical work for the Centre for Eastern Studies in Warsaw and the position of program director at the Stefan Batory Foundation. He holds a PhD in Political Science and is an author of four books and several articles, mainly about East European politics and history.
