Dominik Tolksdorf
Program Director, Foreign & Security Policy, Heinrich Boell Foundation North America

Dr. Dominik Tolksdorf is Program Director for Foreign Affairs and Security at the Washington, DC office of the German Heinrich Böll Foundation. Prior to joining the foundation in 2016, Dominik has worked as a fellow for the Centre for Applied Policy Research in Munich, the Institute for European Studies in Brussels, the Institut Français des Relations Internationales in Paris, and the US Institute of Peace, the SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations, and the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies in Washington, DC. He has taught and consulted widely on EU foreign policy, Eastern Europe and the Balkans, and transatlantic relations. His research has resulted in a number of peer-reviewed academic publications and policy papers as well as a book on the European Union’s support for reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Nomos, 2012). Dominik holds a PhD in Political Science from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and a MSc in European Politics from the University of Turku (Finland).
